The Giant Sequoias in the foreground will forge ahead toward “Giant” stature, so this view will change. I like the layered look of it right now, with the tall cedars in the distance and the red spring color of the Pyracanthus in the mid range. More vignettes can be found at Flutter & Hum. Do check it out, won’t you?
Like the red/green contrast. Springy, yet Christmassy!
All I want for Christmas in May is plants and more plants.
Veddy veddy nihhce! Those sequoias are standing at attention and seem ready for whatever job they’ve been lined up for. 🙂
Their job is to screen us from the neighbors on that side, so they have already reported for duty.
Beautiful layers of texture and color!
The layered look works, even outside the closet.
that’s really beautiful Ricki
Thanks, Christina!
Trying to recapture fleeting moments could be a full time job, but I like your idea.
Ann Lovejoy talks a lot about layering, but this one happened quite by accident.
Oh, you lucky girl, to have so many redwoods! This is gorgeous.
Luck and a lot of babying for the pencil sized plants we started with ten years ago.
So you did it? Sounds like it is still the treasure I discovered many years ago.
Aren’t you nice to say so, Angie.
