So many levels of perception present in this photo. I’m sure Anna (Flutter and Hum), our host for Wednesday Vignettes, would find deep philosophical meaning there. If you click through to her blog you will get so much more than just pretty pictures.

Oh Ricki, I just love this photo. It’s like looking into a magical mirror that will transport you to a soft, gentle place.
What a delightful comment, Jenni. Thanks!
Love the movement in the water created by the fish.
Amazing to me, how attached one can become to fish.
True, they’re not very emotionally expressive, are they?
Just demonstrates how much we project human emotions and motives onto the creatures in our care.
Great vignette! Our pond fish made it through another Wisconsin winter–yay! You’ve done a great job of photographing yours–I know how difficult that can be.
Guess I should have issued a disclaimer: those koi were in the Bella Madrona garden. The raccoons won the war here and now we have only fish too small to interest them.
Haha – you give me too much credit Rickii! My vignette for this week is nothing more than frivolous fun and playing with colors! You are right about the many layers of perception in yours. Sky, earth, and water – all wrapped up into one. Lovely shot, indeed! 🙂
Nah, Anna…you deserve all the credit that comes your way and more.
You caught the light beautifully!
Thanks, Kris.
No words required, perfect as is.
Thanks, Hoov!
The fish, water, sky, plants, the viewer all alive, all moving , each intertwined with the others. The longer I study this picture, the more I get from it. Thanks, Rickii for these moments of reflection!
Thanks for looking so closely and interpreting so well.
