I plonked a bit of everything in this big vase with the intention of arranging them into several bouquets. Instead, Richard confiscated it for his painting studio.
I’m not going to even try to identify everything in there.
A few close-ups will have to do.
If you click through to Rambling in the Garden, Cathy will have a vase worthy of the name, as well as links to the many others who participate in this popular meme.
Well it must be an encouraging sign if your husband wants to paint the bouquet. It shouts early summer is a very exuberant way.
Exuberant is exactly the right word.
You’ve got a peony in there, haven’t you?! My envy of peonies knows no bounds.
Peony envy? Hmmm.
Love the flowers and the painting Ricki.
Love you for saying so.
Nice! I love those spring colors. I think I have the same (or a similar) double pink Peony. One of my favorite flowers in my garden, and it looks (and I’m sure it smells) amazing in your vase.
The peony was less florific than usual this year (unlike most things) but it did yield up enough material for a bouquet.
How wonderful! Your garden bounty, Richards painting…fabulous Ricki.
Thanks, you are too kind…and I’m lapping it up.
Ha ha ha…I love it! It’s beauty x 2 with you guys. Can we see the painting – is that it in the second photo?
Next up on In a Vase: painted bouquets by Richard. Thanks for the idea Tamara.
When you’ve got it, flaunt it! Applies to vases also.
You betcha!
Sometimes the best vases happen by accident. Great picture of your arrangement and Richard’s interpretation of it!
My garden is all about happy accidents…and a few not-so-happy ones.
